Jan Sucharda

President and Chief Executive Officer

Jan Sucharda was named President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Trustees in June 2011. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Operating Officer since 2010. Prior to these positions, he was Chief Operating Officer since 2009 and before that Senior Vice President, Investments & Strategic Initiatives, responsible for overseeing acquisition and disposition initiatives and arranging various forms of financing. Prior to that, Jan was Senior Vice President, Asset Management, with O&Y Properties and O&Y REIT. In addition, Jan has held positions in underwriting, restructuring and asset management with a major financial institution and project management with a Toronto-based construction management company.

Jan has a B.Sc. (Eng) from Queen’s University and a Masters in Business Administration from York University.

Bryan Davis

Chief Financial Officer

Bryan Davis was re-appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2011 and also currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for Brookfield Property Partners. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield's global office business, a role he had served since 2007. Before taking that role, he was Senior Vice President, Finance at Brookfield Asset Management. Prior to that, Bryan spent four years in various senior finance positions including Chief Financial Officer of Trilon Financial Corporation, Brookfield Asset Management's financial services subsidiary. Prior to joining Brookfield Asset Management in 1999, Bryan worked in restructuring and advisory services at Deloitte & Touche.

He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University.

Ian Parker

Chief Operating Officer

Ian Parker was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Canadian Commercial Operations in 2014. Ian has been with Brookfield since 1996 and in his current role is responsible for asset management and property operations for Brookfield’s Canadian portfolio of premier office properties. Prior to joining Brookfield, Ian spent ten years with Marathon Realty in Toronto.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies, Urban & Regional Planning, from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto.

T. Nga Gilgan

Senior Vice Presidents, Investments

T. Nga Gilgan has held her present position since 2005; prior to that she was Vice President and Controller from 2002 and prior to that Vice President, Financial Management. Before joining Brookfield in 2000, she was with the Taxation Services Group of Deloitte LLP. Nga is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo.

Deborah R. Rogers

Senior Vice President, Legal Counsel and Secretary

Deborah Rogers was appointed Vice President, Legal and Secretary for the company in 2004. Prior to joining Brookfield, Deborah was a partner at a major Toronto law firm.

Deborah holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary.

Ryk Stryland

Senior Vice President, Development and Construction

Ryk Stryland has been responsible for directing the new office development and construction activities across Brookfield’s Canadian commercial portfolio since 2006. Prior to Brookfield, Ryk’s career has included a broad variety of roles in real estate asset management, investment, leasing, development and construction. Ryk holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Michael Yam

Vice President and Controller

Michael Yam has held his principal occupation since 2011, prior to which he was the Corporate Controller of Brookfield Canada Office Properties since 2007. Before joining Brookfield, Michael was in the audit and assurance group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Michael is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Mathematics and a Master of Accounting degrees from the University of Waterloo.
